The Chipping Community Energy Working Group is seeking to develop a community owned heat network to reduce the barriers and costs for the residents of Chipping and the surrounding area to transition away from fossil fuel heating. We want to ensure we keep all residents informed of progress throughout the project and as such are pleased to release our latest Chipping Heat Network Consultation document.

This consultation document includes project updates and develops on a range of activities being undertaken by the Working Group, including an online property energy survey that has been running on the website since August 2022.

We are also working on a funding application that is being submitted to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, for grant support to raise community finance to help with the heat network project. As part of this application we are asking members of the community to complete a short survey which you can find here – this will help inform and support the funding application.
